The Olympics have ditched the Star in favor of extreme sailing events. I don't object to kite sailors, and windsurfers, and multi-hulls. But that's not a reason to ditch the Star - a great 100 year old keel boat one-design with the best sailors in the world - skippers like Paul Cayard.
