When helmsmen were, well rich guys like Ted Turner looking for glory; and crews preppy young guys, not athletes training for peak performance like the crews on the hydrofoiling giants of today. They had more fun back in the day...and boats had boat names, well maybe like British warships - Intrepid, Courageous.
